Family-friendly event! 1-5pm. Mid-Hudson Civic Center Plaza, Poughkeepsie. Saturday Studio at Dia: Beacon. Join practicing artists for a free monthly workshop of art making and play. Designed for all ages, Saturday Studio is a family-friendly program that is suitable for kids age 5 and up. All families participating in the Saturday Studio program receive free admission to Dia: Beacon for the day. 10:30am-4pm. Dia: Beacon. 3 Beekman St., Beacon. Second Saturday. Join us at this city-wide celebration of the arts. There will be special events, art gallery openings, artist receptions and culinary tastings. Many galleries and shops stay open late. 10am-9pm. Each year we host our Food Shows (within the Garden Shows) and feature dozens of local food vendors, sample their products, and offer a unique Hudson Valley experience that combines gourmet food with a stunning landscape. Scouts and their family members will be able to take advantage of deep discounts on lift tickets as well as ski and snowboard rentals. Certified instructors of Mt. Peter's Mountain School will also be offering free beginner lessons with the purchase of a lift ticket throughout Scout Weekend. This is a day that brings together resources and unique services and products that meet the everyday needs and interests of families, individuals or caregivers for those with any disability. More than 30 vendors providing support for individuals with disabilities and special needs will be in attendance. There will be sensory activities, special performances, demonstrations and more! HVNS has both 2-day (3-year-olds) and 3-day (4-year-olds) nursery school programs and is an excellent way to introduce your child to the school experience! Small group attention.
