Time and the Valleys Museum 332 Main St., Grahamsville 845-985-7700 The Time and the Valleys Museum connects water, people and the Catskills through engaging exhibits and activities for children and adults. Explore an interactive exhibit on NYC's water system with games, puzzles, touch screen computers and tunnel building with sand. Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome 9 Norton Rd., Red Hook 845-752-3200 Visit us for living history and family fun. We are the only flying museum of Pioneer, WWI, and Gold Age aircrafts in the world. Saturday and Sun- day Air Shows run from mid-June to late October. Museum open daily with over 60 planes, a classic air field and rides in a 1929 Biplane. 5. Mid-Hudson Children's Museum 75 N Water St., Poughkeepsie 845-471-0589 The Mid-Hudson Children's Museum is the ideal destination for families with young children. Exhibits focus on early literacy, art, early STEM, health and the local community, providing an educationally rich environment. Children have the opportunity to develop foundational skills, to engage in purposeful play and to develop interpersonal connections. 6. Historic Huguenot Street 88 Huguenot St., New Paltz 845-255-1889 Historic Huguenot Street brings the history of New Paltz alive through engaging programming for kids of all ages, including a summer day camp, after-school activities, field trips, and more. Kids are invited to discover, explore, and experience the street and learn about all the families who called this place home. 7. Opus 40 50 Fite Rd., Saugerties 845-681-9352 Opus 40 is an earthwork sculpture park, museum, performance space and educational facility that offers families remarkable day visits and a series of events and programs. Visitors can walk through, around, and over our 6½-acre sculpture, from the deepest recesses of its subterranean pathways (16 feet below ground) and up to the nine-ton monolith that is the epicenter and summit of the sculpture (three stories above ground). 8. Hudson River Maritime Museum 50 Rondout Landing, Kingston 845-338-0071 Learn and explore the maritime heritage of the Hudson River and its tributaries. View our collection of artifacts including historic vessels, archival material and art related to Hudson River transportation, industries and recreation. We have a 100-year-old shad boat, life boats, lighthouse tender and ice yachts. Join us for on-the-water sailing and rowing programs throughout the summer. 9. Storm King Art Center 1 Museum Rd., New Windsor 845-534-3115 Storm King Art Center is a 500-acre outdoor museum where visitors experience large- scale sculptures under open sky. Changing exhibitions, programming and seasons offer discoveries with every visit. Explore the rolling meadows and wooded areas or walk the gravel paths with strollers. We offer family programs every Sunday at 1pm beginning in May. 10. Hudson Highlands Nature Museum: Wildlife Education Center 25 Blvd., Cornwall-on-Hudson 845-534-5506 The Wildlife Education Center is home to many amazing native animals that you can visit up close! Enjoy "Meet the Animals" presentations at 1pm and 2:30pm and spend time in the interactive Stomping Grounds exhibit.
