Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays any time between 1-5pm with the last tour at 4pm. Sundays every hour on the hour from 1-5pm with the last tour at 4pm. An hour-long program designed for children 18 to 36 months including stories, movement, and activities as well as an opportunity to speak with an early childhood professional. Learn withstories and activity-based learning of simple preschool concepts. With an approach loosely-based on Montessori, activities are designed so children will have fun while experiencing the skills of early literacy. Young artists aged 10 years and up are invited to join Art Afterschool, an hour of creative mess-making and fun. Each week we will explore di erent media from paint to paper mache to cardboard sculpture. Smocks and all supplies will be provided.As space is limited, we require registration. We'll be covering STEM subjects such as chemistry, biology, physics, etc. as well as other topics such as geography, art, music, and more. Luminaries will line The Walkway as veterans, honor guards, elected officials, and the public make their way to the Center Overlook for a flag changing ceremony at dusk. The retired colors will be presented to a local family who lost a loved one in service to America. Following the ceremony, the public is invited to remain on The Walkway for Walkway at Night. 7:30-10:15pm. Center Overlook of The Walkway Over the Hudson. Can enter from 87 Haviland Rd., Highland or 61 Parker Ave., Poughkeepsie. Livingston Manor Memorial Day Parade and Service. May 27. Parade and ceremony begin at 10am. Livingston Manor. Hyde Park Memorial Day Parade. May 27. All registered units begin line up at 7am. Step-o for start of parade is 10am at Roosevelt Cinemas. This is an annual event for the Town of Hyde Park that is organized through the Recreation department. All groups must be pre- registered. 10am-12:30pm. Roosevelt Cinemas. 4060 Albany Post Rd., Hyde Park. 229-8086. Village of Fishkill Memorial Day Parade. May 27. Parade lines up at 12 and goes down Main Street. There will be a ceremony at the Veterans Memorial at the corner of Broad and Main Streets. 12-3pm. Village of Fishkill. 1095 Main St., Fishkill. 897-4430. 18th Century Graveside Ceremony. May 27. Revolutionary War soldiers stand vigil at the coffin of Colonel Francis Barber and then perform a graveside mourning ceremony. A cannon firing and military demonstration follows. Free admission. 1:30-3pm. New Windsor Cantonment. 374 Temple Hill Rd., New Windsor. Montgomery Memorial Day Parade. May 27. March with us! The parade line up starts at 11am on Wallkill Avenue by the Grange Hall. Same traditional 1-mile route as in past years. A short patriotic ceremony and free refreshments will conclude. 11am. Village of Montgomery. 16th Annual Memorial Day Community Picnic. May 27. The Tuxedo Park Library will commemorate those who have served our country with the annual community picnic. This event gives an opportunity for the library to show our gratitude to local service men and women, our fondness for our patrons, and an immense appreciation for the Tuxedo Park community. 12-2:30pm. Tuxedo Park Library. 227 Rte. 17, Tuxedo Park. Newburgh Memorial Day Parade. May 27. Parade lineup is at 9:15am and the parade steps o from its formation on West and Third Street promptly at 10am. The parade proceeds down West Street to Broadway, then turns onto Liberty Street and continues into Washington's Headquarters. Services at Washington's Headquarters begin at 11:30am. Memorial Day observances will conclude with the reading of the names of all deceased veterans since World War I at the Orange County Veterans Memorial at 3pm. 10am. City of Newburgh. 565-5429.
