The community gathers for delectable strawberry treats and live music to give summer a sweet taste and a sweet sound. The festival is open to the entire family and guarantees a fun time. Come for the tractors, stay for the barbecue on the Youth Center grounds after the big parade. Dog Man Fan Club. Our Dog Man Fan Club is planned by kids, for kids! We read, discuss, and enjoy games and activities based around the book. 2-3 pm. The Pride Parade will begin at 1pm on Market Street, marching down Main Street, Poughkeepsie into Waryas Park, where we are holding a family-friendly LGBTQ+ Pride Festival. 1-5pm. A school-aged program for kids who would like to develop confidence in their reading ability by reading with our non-judgmental, Certified and Licensed Therapy Dogs! For 4 days, the outside of the Hellenic Center is filled with the exciting sights, smells, tastes, and sounds of the Poughkeepsie Greek Festival. Come enjoy traditional Greek delicacies and our famous pastries. Sit and enjoy the Greek music and dancing under the tent.
