April 2020
I
t's a time of contradic-
tions.
Stronger commu-
nity bonds coupled with
social distancing. More
time spent in nature
amid a heightened need
to communicate with
others through technol-
ogy. Families enjoying
lots of shared fun despite
a reduction in in-person
events and gatherings. A
rise in innovative ways
to connect with and
support each other in
the face of widespread
restrictions in services
and programs.
Hudson Valley Par-
ent is bridging the gap
between what was and
what is, so you and your
family can get what you
need when you need it.
In addition to our
monthly magazine, top
lists, and online portals
to health care advice, wellness, camp
guides, parenting pointers and more,
along with our social media outlets,
we've developed a new and exciting
series of digital mini-issues, HVP
Home with the Kids, that's delivered
straight to your inbox. Watch for
coming stories and helpful informa-
tion on a starting business, infant
care, kids' crafts, teens' creativity
and other topics. Missed our earlier
issues on preschool crafts, grade
school education, teens' online
gaming, and special education tips?
Head to HVP Home with the Kids.
We're also continually sharing up-
dated news on our HVP Local News
and Updates, as well as videos and
virtual events through HVP Virtual
Events & Activities.

I've loved walking the paved path along
Wilbur Boulevard in Poughkeepsie for years
and still do. It's gently hilly and abuts the
scenic McCann Memorial Golf Course. It
doesn't matter if I walk the path when the
course is open or closed. It always off ers
wonderful views of expansive grassy areas,
trees, and sand, plus a glimpse of water
during morning and evening strolls. Where
do you like to walk?
