Support for kids of all abilities
Caring and positive organizations advocate for kids of all
abilities and the families

Ensuring that each one is supported in
the best possible ways is the aim of many
organizations in the Hudson Valley, like the
three presented here.
Vital Behavior Services supports chil-
dren with developmental delays and their
families in Dutchess, Rockland, Orange,
Putnam, and Westchester counties, plus
New York City.
The organization's team employs par-
ent interviews, student observation, and
behavioral assessment to create
individualized educational opportu-
nities. Direct instruction is offered at
home, preschool, or school for older
students, as appropriate. As well, the
organization helps educate and sup-
port parents through workshops and
classes for parents of children aged 18
months to adulthood.
