Stomping Through the Weeds

"What's wrong, Robin?" Willow asked her six-year-old brother.
Robin was quietly sitting in a corner of their yard with his
watercolor paints resting on a rock and his painting pad open
on his lap. He looked sad. Although he had been sitting there for
ten minutes, the pages of his pad were still blank.
Both Robin and Willow loved their backyard. It wasn't very big,
but big enough for them to enjoy climbing on the old oak tree.
Or playing mini golf across the lawn.
Many days after school, Willow would go outside and practice
her violin. Whenever Robin heard Willow begin to play, he
would put his hands over his ears because the violin drowned
out nature's sounds.
