Drink lots of water
to keep your baby clean
It's a wonderful idea to drink lots of
water to keep hydrated, but this wives
tale suggests that you should drink
water to wash your baby. Correct me if
I'm wrong, but I don't think pregnancy
works that way.

What you say about other babies
will happen to your baby
This one goes both ways. It's just
common decency not to talk about
other kids.

The baby knows
when you're having sex
If the tummy's rocking, don't come
a knocking? I think we can all hold off
on the birds and the bees talk, give or
take about fifteen years.
Eat standing up and
you'll get fat feet
There's a lot happening with your
body, and bloating is normal, but the
pickle you're chomping down doesn't
skip the intestines!

As you gain weight, your partner
gains weight
It's called "sympathy weight," also
known as another excuse for men to

food cravings.
If you carry high, it's a girl
If you carry low, it's a boy
It's also said that if you get bustier
you're likely to have a girl and if you
get a bigger derrière, it's a boy. If this
is true we'd all be wishing for twins,
one boy and one girl.
If you place your hand on
your body, your child will
get a birthmark in that spot
Now that's paranoid! Are we not
supposed to bathe ourselves for fear
of our baby being born with a huge
birthmark across his face?
No.
