22 Hudson Valley Baby Guide A new mom's wisdom P arenting is learned through instinct, experi- ence, and a little trial and error. We asked our new mom, Marci Rheal, winner of our "expectant mom" contest, the top ten things she learned since having her son, Dylan, ten months ago. 1) Life will never be the same...in a good way. 2) You can never love your child too much! 3) Rest whenever you have a spare moment. 4) Vacation is not very relaxing with a six month old. 5) Enjoy every second. They grow up fast. 6) Diapers cost a lot of money and you will go through a lot of them! 7) Listen to others advice but make your own decisions. 8) Your house will not be clean for a long time. Don't worry about it. 9) Sending your child to daycare is not as bad as you think. 10) Being a parent is more amazing than you can ever imagine. photo courtesy Wanamaker Photography
