Jacky Davis and David Soman, the local duo from Rosendale behind the New York Times-bestselling Ladybug Girl series will also be in attendance this year. For middle grade kiddos, David Lubar is ready to talk all things fic- tion. He's best known for his Weenies Stories series, but has written more than 30 books for young readers. Some of his most beloved titles among readers and educators alike include "Sleeping Freshmen Never Lie," "Hidden Talents" and its sequel "True Talents." If you've got older kids or teens, they'll love meeting Young Adult fiction writer Crissa-Jean Chappell. She's written lots of reviews, short stories, poems, and columns, in addition to her novels "Total Constant Order," "Narc," and "More Than Good Enough." "The diversity of authors and illus- trators is great," says Laura Panzari- no, a New Jersey resident and mom. "With the mix of picture books, chap- ter books, biographies, nature books, sports books and even graphic novels, there's something for every kid, boys and girls alike. I wouldn't miss the Warwick Children's Book Festival!" And rockstar writers won't be the only creative artists at the festi- val. Children's musicians The Uncle Brothers will perform an interactive concert on Roailroad Green at 1 p.m. The musical duo have been writing and performing songs for kids for nearly 20 years. Their repertoire in- cludes fun jams like "Lobster Conga" and "Macaroni" and more education- al tunes like "I Will Never Smoke" and "It's All There (At the Library)." Where to park The festival will be held outdoors on Railroad Avenue in Warwick, right in the center of the village. It will be closed to vehicular traffic, so you and your family can walk without worry. Parking is available in the two parking lots that face one another on South Street. South Street intersects with Railroad Avenue and the festival will be about 1/2 block from either one, visible from either parking lot. There is also street parking in the surrounding neighborhood. Finally, 4 blocks up Main Street from the festival, CVS parking lot will be open to festival visitors.
