Fun times were had by all. But did you know that Easter egg hunts date back to at least the early 17th century in Europe? Popularity grew when German church reform- er Martin Luther encouraged the tradition. Egg hunts are even listed in the Guinness Book of World Records. The largest hunt ever involved 9,753 children and their parents in Winter Haven, Florida searching for 501,000 eggs back in 2007. That's a lot of food coloring! For more photos of happy faces, register your child for our annual Cover Kid event next month. We're looking for kids 6 months to 16 years of age to appear on the magazine's covers in 2016 through 2017. Log onto hvparent.com/2016-cover-kid for registration information. Everybunny loves the Easter Bunny! Natalie, of Newburgh, readies her basket for Easter goodies.
