She also now makes muffins on weekends for the family (I do the oven, obviously). — Jess Reiche Just this week we had a "Chopped" competition and they had to make a meal from their baskets. It was interesting and pretty tasty. My oldest wants to be a chef so this is good prac - tice. — Liz Consavage Vilato When my 3-year-old grand- daughter, Zoey, comes over, I like to have her help with cook- ing. She has helped make cook- ies, jigglers made out of gelatin and just recently we made pizza together. — Pamela Schmidt All three (ages 8, 5, and 3) ... help in some way to prepare meals in our home. They are taught knife skills starting at 3-year- old with a safety knife. And we allow the oldest to use the stove with our supervision.
