26 Hudson Valley Parent n April 2016 Sophie Psaras Since our 2014 Cover Kid Event, Sophie Psaras has been very busy working in films, television shows, and print ad cam- paigns. She has had leading roles in two short films, a PBS project, a television crime documentary, and a segment for The Katie Couric Show. Her print works include campaigns for Toys R Us and Snuggie. Ciara Grey Teen Model Winner, Ciara Grey, stops for a photograph while filming on the set of "Diagnostic Love" in Kingston. This was Ciara's first film and she is now studying acting and modeling with the New York Talent Club (NYTC). Casey Ligi After speak- ing with talent agents at our Cover Kid Event, Casey was cast in several films including "Light- house with a View," "Happiness is a Horse," and "Diagnostic Love." Our cover kids - the cuties who grace the cover of our magazine each month - have gone on to do some amazing work in film, advertis- ing, music, and TV. We're proud to say our Cover Kid Event has been a launching pad for several local kids as they march toward stardom. Here is a sampling of the amaz- ing work our Cover Kids have done throughout the years: Raquel Ringgold After being on the December 2013 cover of Hudson Valley Parent Magazine, 16-year-old Ra- quel's passion for the talent industry swelled. Raquel has been in multiple feature films and has modeled for many compa- nies as part of New York Fashion Week. Raquel also has her own fash- ion blog, which has allowed her to work with major brands. She's also your reigning Miss Dutchess County Teen. Want to see Raquel in action? You'll have your chance at our April 17th cover kid event as she will be returning once again as a guest host. is now working with a personal manager at the New York Talent Club (NYTC). Dominick Otero Kelly Otero had no idea when she signed up her 5-year-old son, Dominick, that she would be scouted by New York Talent Club and how has two feature films under HER belt! As for Dominick, he is now part of the Kids-On-TV program, a division of the New York Talent Club (NYTC). Does your child want to see his name in lights? The best way to jump start your child's talent career is by getting in front of New York Talent Club agents at the 2016 Hud- son Valley Parent Cover Kid Event. Register online before April 4th or register the day of the event. Don't miss out! The event starts at 11am sharp on Sunday, April 17th at the Newburgh Mall on Route 300.
