Local parents Mom Maureen says: "He is able to take what he experiences and the lessons he learns to another level. Since he was an infant with his eyes wide open ready to explore, he has always been ready for all the world has to offer. On any given day he challenges what he heard in school or what we talk about over dinner-and with that he teaches me too! It's important for children to have a right to their thoughts and ideas and to come to conclusions on their own. He loves to dig into dirt or into a good book, help a worm to moist grass on a sunny day or find a way to booby-trap his 1yr old sister! (he learned this from "Home Alone" I swear!). He keeps us on our toes with his curiosity and I am proud to call him my son!" T here's no denying it… The Hudson Valley is chock-full of Incredible Kids and parents just waiting for the opportunity to brag about them! We asked parents to tell us why their curious kids are so incredible for a chance to be featured in this issue and the opportunity to be on a 2018 cover of Hudson Valley Parent. Our staff was overwhelmed with all the great submissions. We read stories about kids who love to explore and go on outdoor adventures, smart kids who question the world around them and little ones always looking to learn more! Choosing our three finalists was not easy. Alas, after much deliberation, Hudson Valley Parent is proud to announce our third group of Incredible Kids! We'd also like to extend a hearty thank you to our Incredible Kids sponsor, Children's Medical Group. Finalist: Liam, 4 of Wappingers Falls
