32 Hudson Valley Parent n April 2019 1: Monday Community Art Show. The Newburgh Free Library's Annual Community Art Show will run from April 1st - April 24th. The show is open to all adult artists in the greater Newburgh area. Entries will be judged in six categories: oil or acrylic, pastel, watercolor, photography, graphic or mixed media and sculpture. Lapsit includes books, music, simple action rhymes, and developmentally appropriate toys, as well as tips on how to create a bright start for future learning. 9:30-10am. An hour-long program designed for children 18 to 36 months including stories, movement, and activities as well as an opportunity to speak with an early childhood professional on such topics as health, language development, and safety. This 45-minute program for children age 3-5 includes stories, songs, rhymes, and activities. Encourage early learning success and school readiness through reading, singing, creating, and playing! Climb aboard our vintage trains and enjoy the sights and sounds of classic railroading as your train climbs the grade up Hurley Mountain, following the same rail route travelers have used since the 1860s. Passengers will disembark to take part in an Easter egg hunt and to visit for photos with the Easter Bunny before returning to Kingston. April 13. Come join us for a hopping good time. The Easter bunny will be hiding eggs around the dealership for your kids to come and find. He will also be sticking around for pictures. Union Vale Parks and Recreation Egg Hunts for All. April 13. Bring your kids, camera, and Easter basket to this fun family event. The Easter bunny will deliver thousands of Easter eggs to Tymor Park to help usher in the spring season. The Traditional Egg Hunt begins at 10am. A smaller hunting area will be dedicated for children 2 and under. There will be a sensory friendly time between 11am-12pm for a relaxing version of this Easter tradition. A wheelchair accessible time slot will be provided between 1pm-3 pm. The visually impaired egg hunt will also take place from 1pm-3pm. Just "listen for the eggs that beep." 10am-3pm. People within every spectrum of special needs and their families are invited to a private photo session to experience the time-honored tradition of a visit with the Easter Bunny. Families are encouraged to arrive at any time during their scheduled 15-minute period. Visits with the Easter Bunny are free. Please reserve your complimentary tickets.
