Pistil Style Ovary Pollen tube Anther Filament Ovule Petal Sepal Receptacle Pedicel Stigma Stamen PARTS OF A FLOWER Petals are the colorful part of the plant that attract birds and bees. As they move around the plant looking for nectar, they brush against the stigma. This causes the pollen grains on the stigma to move from one section of the plant to another. That movement is called pollination. The final result of pollination is the creation of seeds which will grow into flowers the following season.
