Simply making eye contact and talking or singing to your baby is a great way to bond and let her get to know you. One great bonding method is to let your baby sleep on your chest and feel your heartbeat. Getting into the bonding phase is different for every mom. For Juliana Chinea, mother of one, there wasn't a defining moment that she felt her child was bonding with her. "It's the day-to-day care like bathing, feeding and playing that I consider to be bonding time." BONDING WITH BABY (Continued from Page 13) Easy ways to bond with baby Here are three simple things every mom can do to create a long lasting bond with their newborn. Go exploring – Babies are always learning. Help them by gradually introducing them to new things. Learning new things together will create a mutual trust in you and your baby. Be active – When you move and help your baby move, you will keep them interested in their environment and you. Movement is the quickest way to get your baby's attention. Sing together – Singing to your baby is a wonderful way to calm your little one. You can also introduce them to different music!
