hvparent.com n Hudson Valley Parent 11 What is the most important thing your children get out of participating in religious services? While they're young I honestly think they don't really under- stand it, but they're learning to sit and listen and they're learning that this is a regular part of our lives. — Rose Woods They become comfortable with physically being there. The more comfortable they are with their surroundings, the people, the routines and the language, the more natural they will feel about being there both now and in the future. — Vicki Krueger Kessler I can start to see my children coming to an age where they understand the world can be a scary place and that things like death do happen. Coming to know, trust and belief in God gives them a greater sense of peace. It's also teaching them to serve others, which I love. — Erin Johnson My eldest used to not like going until he taught himself guitar and now he plays in the church folk group, which he enjoys. Sometimes I think they're not paying attention and then they'll say something that will daze and amaze you and you realize that they've developed a genuine sense of spirituality. — Lori Traver HVP Chatroom contests.hvparent.com E FARM FARM Enter our wonderful winter contests!
