All children 12 and under are free with an accompanying adult. Mountain bikers might enjoy Pearson Park on Walnut Moun- tain ( bit.ly/1T4HykJ). The almost 13 miles of biking trails that wind throughout the park are considered some of the best in the area. Much of the steep terrain is more for advanced mountain bikers but there are also some gradual grades for less experienced bikers and hikers. At the base of the mountain, there are picnic areas and a play- ground for a bit of rest and relax- ation when the ride is over. For more information on area bike trails, check out the book "Cy- cling the Hudson Valley - A Guide to History, Art, and Nature on the East and West Sides of the Majestic Hudson River" which lays out of safe and inviting cycling routes on both sides of the water.
