As a grower and as a human being, I want to set that example. Organics are a step in that direction. "I choose organic farming for many reasons. I want to grow sus- tainably. I don't want to be under the control of industrial agriculture. I want to walk lightly on the earth. "Organic farming is nutrition. It's politics, it's an attitude about being on the earth. "I do some small weddings on my farm. People get married here not just because it's pretty but because it ties in with their politics. They like being married in an environment that represents who they are and what they value. "If you don't want to be beholden to Big Corporate America, organic is the thing to do. It's a political ges- ture, but it's also very much about nutritional density of organic food and giving back to the earth in com- posting.
