We made an appointment for a private tour and I was surprised by how many animals they showed us and let the kids hold and pet. We really learned a lot about each animal. They have fine art, sculptures, horse drawn vehicles and a library full of vintage memorabilia. The museum is a peaceful place where families can explore every room at their own pace, including a hands-on children's room. Visitors can also interact with the horses boarded at the facility during the summer months. "The quiet atmosphere in the Harness Racing Museum allows the kids to learn at their own pace. The children's room, upstairs is hands-on and interactive," says Mann. Open 10am-4pm Tuesday- Sunday. General admission is free.
