6 Hudson Valley Parent
n
December 2019
I
n this season of cele-
bration and reflection,
like many others,
I'm stepping back and
looking at all I've expe-
rienced during the past
year. There's much to be
excited about-like
my
new position as editor of
Hudson Valley Parent.
At
Hudson Valley
Parent,
we're celebrat-
ing, too. The magazine's
reach is expanding and
this issue features our
welcomed, year-end Favorite Docs
and Healthcare Professionals' guide
-
our sixth annual list-with more than
380 doctors of various specialties, as
voted by you and your friends. We've
starred those medical professionals
with the status of being named to
the guide for five years and, like all
of you, appreciate the care, expertise
and good stewardship of our region's
stellar medical professionals.
This month, we're also sharing
the joys and challenges of parents
of twins, triplets and quadruplets.
And, with families looking for fun
ways to enjoy winter's chill, we offer
plenty of weather-wise activities to
bring parents and siblings together,
indoors and out.
With 2020 a frostly flurry away,
look to coming issues of
Hudson Val-
ley Parent
for more stories, insights
and resources that are tuned to
your family's wellbeing and happi-
ness. We're dedicated to bringing
you articles that matter to you and
your family, like healthy nutrition,
enrichment programs, advances in
baby care, special needs' programs
and teen talk.
We'll also continue to showcase
all the fun and useful programs the
Hudson Valley has to offer kids,
parents and families with
a full range of helpful
guides, community
resources and family-fun
happenings in our mag-
azine, on our website
and social media plat-
forms, and in our weekly
e-newsletters.
Recognizing and
celebrating personal
fortunes and those of our
communities are great
ways to deepen a sense
of wellbeing and solidify
connections. Sharing the stories and
insights of kids, parents, profession-
als and businesses brings us closer
and is the pride of
Hudson Valley
Parent.
We applaud your achieve-
ments and courage to move forward.
Your hopes and dreams are ours,
too. Your experiences fortify others
and our communities.
If you or your family is going
through a new endeavor or tran-
sition, or have mastered a goal,
we'd love to hear about it. If there's
something you'd like to know more
about, let us know. We can't wait
to hear about all of it. Reach me at
