The big reveal Here at Hudson Valley Parent, we love to interact with our readers on Facebook! We recently asked our readers how they revealed their pregnancy or gender of their child in a unique way. Here's what they had to say: "We used this picture to announce it to our friends, and we had our son wear this shirt to tell our family members." Kristin Hawley, Highland "For our family, I waited for Christmas when I was three months along and had my ultrasound photo with me. My motherin-law was on the speakerphone as I showed my parents the photo. For our Facebook announcement, we uploaded a photo of my baby bump and then tagged our son in the photo where my bump was." "We had my daughter wear this shirt. It was a lot of fun." Amy Clark, Middletown "After we found out, we went to Toys R Us and found an enormous blue bow, which I put on my belly. Then we posted the pic to Facebook." "We got pregnant right before Easter, so this is how we made our announcement on Facebook." Stephanie McGill, Saugerties "We sent this photo in his birthday thank you cards." Gloria Darmanin, Saugerties "With our first, we gave family members bibs that said #1 grandma, grandpa, uncle." 34 Hudson Valley Parent Jenny Nesbitt, Poughquag n October 2013 Merlyn Akhtar, Lagrangeville Amy Gudmundsen, Kingston "We gave our parents a copy of our favorite children's book and wrote a poem stating that we were pregnant. Now our LO's grandparents reads that book to him at almost every visit!" Katrina Lukaszewski, Esopus "We invited our family over for a BBQ. We asked everyone to pose for a 'picture' (but we were taking video) and once everyone got into position, my husband said 'Everyone say: Jess is pregnant!' It is really cool to see everyone's reaction on tape!" Jessica Heissenbuttel, Rifton
