18 Hudson Valley Parent n October 2017 What types of healthcare professionals treat me at urgent care? O ur Urgent Care centers are managed by trained emergency medicine and family medicine physicians at all times, as well as certified Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants - all of whom treat patients of all ages. Having a physician available at all times is one of the many criteria that Crystal Run has met in order to be the only private practice Urgent Care in the region to be Accredited by both The Joint Commission and the Urgent Care Association of America. Onsite diagnostic imaging - including CT, MRI, x-ray and ultrasound, is offered. Our Urgent Care centers are directly connected to the Crystal Run's multi-specialty group medical practice, giving patients access to physicians in nearly 50 medical and surgi- cal specialties for any follow-up care need- ed. The practice's electronic health records system connects our primary care, urgent care, and specialist providers, allowing them access to urgent care records. EOneKingston.com Can my child receive a physical at urgent care? Does staff contact my physician aer my visit? Y es, you can get a physical at an urgent care center depending on your insurance. Most insurance allow one physical each year. If you have a physical at your urgent care that will be the only one for the year that your insurance will pay for. It's important to check with your insurance or with the urgent care to make sure they will cover a physical at that facility. To see if you will be covered, call the urgent care you plan to visit. A t Emergency One, we feel that each patient should hear from us following a visit. You might receive a call with lab or x-ray results or we might call just to see how you're doing. If you provide us with the name of your pediatrician or primary care physician, we will send your discharge notes electronically before you have even left our facility. Since we only do urgent care, we feel it is very important to provide a continuity of care between us Once you have ascertained that the urgent care will take your insurance, simply bring your insurance card to the urgent care during your visit. Bring any forms you need filled out with you to your urgent care visit. This includes vaccination records. and your own physician. Likewise, your physician should never feel any risk of losing you as a patient. We are independent and do not provide the same service as they do, therefore, we will always send their patient and their results back to their personal physician. We have one goal; provide the best patient experience possible while communicating the results of your visit to your family doctor.
