Welcome summer with a mud-riffic day of play in Grasshopper Grove. Thousands of children in dozens of countries worldwide celebrate Mud Day as a chance to appreciate nature and the great outdoors by getting muddy. Mud pies, mud pools, mud art and mud slide all mean a ton of mud fun! Bring a towel or a change of clothes and a bundle of laughter to enjoy this afternoon of summertime nooks and crannies where magical fairy houses nestle in the woodlands and gardens of Locust Grove. Children will follow educators as we pick produce from our Children's Garden and vendors at the market. Educators and kid volunteers will then demonstrate simple cooking techniques to turn the produce into a scrumptious, kid-friendly snack. Best suited for ages 2-6 years old. Come learn to play chess with us. Hone your strategic thinking, learn to read your opponent, and have fun making new friends. Best for kids ages 8-12 years old. Registration is required. 4:30-5:30pm. This four-day fair will have carnival rides for all ages by Gillette Shows, fantastic festival food and treats, carnival games, and fun for the entire family.
