6-year-old Lukas from Middletown
was a preschooler when he first
graced our cover. His mom Tammy
shares how things have changed.
HVP: What was your biggest challenge
3 years ago compared to now?
Tammy: My biggest challenge now is
getting Lukas to focus on reading. My
biggest challenge in 2016 was potty
training and getting him to eat
something other than carbs!
HVP: How has parenting changed as
Lukas gets older?
T: I am trying to foster more
independence. I am developing a
foundation for him to grow into a
respectful young man.
HVP: Give us some advice for other
parents.
T: Do more things together. Kids forget
about the toys you bought, but they
will always remember the time you
spent with them.
HVP: Tell us more about Lukas!
T: He loves Beyblade battles and video
games like Minecraft and Smash Bros.
What has changed since
we last saw our cover kid,
Lukas, in 2016?
