Prizes, funded by generous event sponsors and nominal participant registration fees, are awarded to winning nonprofits (not to donors). 7th Annual Ashokan Uke Fest. A weekend for ukulele players of all skill levels! There will be workshops, concerts, jam sessions and lots of fun! Admission includes all classes, great meals and a concert by our world-class staff. You'll learn new techniques and styles and gain confidence as a player. Enjoy a weekend of music and friends in a gorgeous natural setting, rich in history. Join us in a fun, family-friendly atmosphere that draws thousands of shoppers. Join us for a day of music, food, children's activities galore and much, much more! We will have arts and crafts workshops, face-painting and children's science demos. Start at the Hurley Heritage Museum and view the exterior of stone homes 230-330 years old in this National Historic Landmark district and learn their unique stories. Step-off for start of parade is 10am at Roosevelt Cinemas. This is an annual event for the Town of Hyde Park that is organized through the Recreation department. Parade lines up at 12 and goes down Main Street. There will be a ceremony at the Veterans Memorial at the corner of Broad and Main Streets. 12-3pm. Stop by the library to read to Juliet, a German Shepherd puppy who is training to become a guide dog. She loves listening to stories and helping kids overcome their difficulties reading. Kids love helping Juliet practice being patient and listening. This program is perfect for children ages 5 and up. 4-5pm. Ethelbert B.
