We would snap on our helmets and race around the wooded trails for hours before landing lakeside with a picnic and a pool noodle. After a long day of family fun, my mother would pack three sleepy, sunburnt Brighton kids into the car. Each year we traveled to our favorite spots. We stomped along the same trails, picked apples at the same farms and craved cones from the same dairy bars. Our traditions were unforgettable. This month, our magazine is full of the favorite places that make up the seasonal traditions of our readers and the Hudson Valley Parent staff. From outdoor adventures, to museums, to favorite places for a family dinner or day on the farm, we gathered the 100 best places for families to have fun. Use our Family Adventure Awards to plan a summer full of fun in the Hudson Valley and beyond. On the next sunny day, find a new favorite place and create lifelong memories.
