Cheer your favorite night at the joust tournament, meet Robin Hood and his Merry Band, feast on savory sweets and tempting treats, see amazing acrobats, magical fairies, swashbuckling pirates and more! Walkway Lecture Series. Learn about the rich history of the Poughkeepsie-Highland Railroad Bridge and the majestic Hudson Valley at the 2019 Walkway Lecture Series. Local historians, civic leaders and other experts share stories and information about a wide range of fascinating topics celebrating our region's past, present and future. An all-ages, hands-on experience in music, dance, storytelling, puppetry, nature, crafts and pure play! Something for the whole family. Times vary. The Ashokan Center. 477 Beaverkill Rd., Olivebridge. 246-2121. Watercolors by OTTO Exhibit. Otto Miranda, a local artist from Stuyvesant, has been a watercolor painter for over 20 years. This exhibition represents his many different interests including flowers, landscapes, birds, and historical venues. The exhibit is open through August 31 for viewing during library open hours and is wheelchair accessible. Daily during regular library open hours. For six days each August, the bucolic fairgrounds on Route 9 in Rhinebeck plays host to nearly half a million patrons. The second largest county fair in New York State is the showplace for agriculture in Dutchess County. Over 147 acres of finely manicured gardens and grass create the beautiful setting for thousands of farm animals, agricultural exhibits and horticul- tural displays.The fairgrounds becomes an enter- tainment destination where big name talent can be enjoyed, "thrill a minute" excitement can be experienced at one of the finest carnivals in the entire country, free shows and attractions can be viewed almost constantly from the time you arrive to the time you leave. This 3-day music festival is your source for family fun in nature, local food and crafts, and lyric-laden, foot stomping, soul-soothing, fiddle-infused live music. Discover your new favorite bands, try your hand at blacksmithing, visit the sheep, go on a group hike to Cathedral Gorge, participate in cool music and dance workshops, eat local food, drink local beer, sing an old song and get an inspiration for a new one. The NY Air Show will return to Stewart International Airport featuring the Blue Angels along with some of the nation's top military and civilian performers.
